"I have been lifting in the gym for almost 20 years, as a key part of my training programme. However, one area that I have always been weak on is deadlifting and squats. I knew Nathan had a great background in swimming having competed together for GB Juniors and for medals at Senior Nationals. Allied to this Nathan has developed great expertise in powerlifting and this is something I felt I could really benefit from. We had an initial phone conversation, where I explained what I had been doing and where I wanted to be. JAMES CONTACTED US FOR A S&C PLAN TO SUPPLEMENT HIS SWIMMING. JAMES DEMONSTRATED A GOOD FOUNDATION IN RANGE OF MOVEMENT AND STRENGTH. CLAIRE CAME TO US WANTING A SPRINT BASED TRAINING PLAN FOR SWIMMING. THE TRAINING PLAN PROGRESSIVELY UTILISED POWER BASED MOVEMENTS, MOBILITY EXERCISES AND YOGA. CLAIRE WAS COMMITTED TO THE TRAINING PLAN AND IS CONTINUING TO USE NEW MOVEMENT PATTERNS ALONGSIDE HER LOVE OF SWIMMING AND CYCLING.

GEORGINA HAD BEEN LIFTING IN THE GYM FOR A WHILE BUT HAD BEEN INSPIRED TO GIVE POWERLIFTING A TRY. WITHIN 12 MONTHS, GEORGINA HAD INCREASED HER 1RM BENCH PRESS BY 20KG. SHE COMPETED IN THE NORTH MIDLANDS IPF BRITISH POWERLIFTING REGION AND IS NOW DIRECTOR OF GB POWERLIFTING.
